I was discussing this subject with someone - about the fact that there are a whole bunch of crazy "shippers" - which is short for those who yearn for a certain relationship between characters - in this fandom. One of the things that's a popular theme in fanfic is having Sookie use her telepathy to make money. The idea is that she could give up being a waitress, and use her telepathy to support herself. Well, I haven't had a close look outside the walls of this journal, but I have seen some of the new post Dead Reckoning fics and their reviews. Yet again !surprise! there's dissatisfaction with the book.
